    550550This experiment was with a low flow rate of 20 l/min and had to be stopped after a while as there was a too strong stratification. The laser then  got deflected downward at the interface between the two densities and was only about 1-0 cm above the topography on the shelf.

     555We did NOT redo experiment EXP33! Instead, we increased the inflow density to get a difference of about 5 kg/m3 (measured: 4.8 kg/m3). The measured water level was 58.4 cm in the centre and the laser sheet was at 55 cm in the centre. We started with an inflow of 20 l/min (8.5mm) which measured 22.3 l/min.
